| Comments: | Given that England are not at the festival of English culture this summer i.e Euro 2008 we should all support our fellow Saxon countries of Germany and the Netherlands. |

| Comments: | While there is no doubting Fabio capello and his mates great ability to be England manager. The FA have done exactly the same thing as English club and just thrown lots of money at foreigners.
One of the reasons we are so poor is because of apathy and lack of desire to lead ourselves (just like there is no English parliament and we are run by the Socttish Raj).
The FA have just shown more apathy by washing its hands of any English coaches, instead of standing up and doing something. No English coach have a good record because they have not managed the big 4 in England in the last 10 years, no manager English or foreign has won in England in the last 10 years NOT at the big (Euro League)4 of Liverpool, Manchester, Arsenal and Chelsea and will not again for the next 20 year. |

| Comments: | Bryan - EAEH is a series of articles written by people who have a good knowledge in their area.
EAEH needs a section written about English sports and how they have come into being.
Is someone able to do this? |

| Comments: | The problems in English football are much deeper than the manager.
Englands second tier should be a breeding ground for English eligible players, but it is not. The premiership (also spain & italy)is the finishing school for international players, the championship is the academy.
Top sides like Holland have their domestic league full of their own raw materials, and their top players go to the finishing schools. But Englands second tier is full of non-English eligible players. The top English players should have to compete against the best in the world. But young English players do not have a level playing field because in no other country do second tier players have to compete against players from around the world. English eligible players can not take a career to the top if their paths are blocked before they start.
The championship should be strengthened by changing from 4 leagues to 5 leagues of 18 teams, so that the 19th to 36th best English clubs are in the championship.
Then a combined salary cap for non-English eligible players should be agreed so that the clubs can only employ a limited percentage in a squard.
Welsh clubs should play in a celtic league with the Scottish clubs(with Celtic FC playing in Dublin)
For a team to play in the FA and league cup they should have to play a set number of English players. |
